Thomas J. Sprowl, Jr., 73, a lifelong resident of Westville Grove, passed away on Dec. 10, 2012. Tom was the Head Dispatcher for Deptford Police for 30 years and then County Communications in Clayton for 3 years, retiring in 2006. He was a Life member of the Tacoma Fire Department. In 1974, Tom was responsible for bringing the first Ambulance to Deptford Twp. and was one of the first EMT's.
Tom is survived by 3 sisters Grace E. Guy of Middleburg, FL, Mary E. Burns of Westville Grove & Sharon M. Soden of Deptford; brother John H. Sprowl of Oak Valley; special caregiving nieces & nephews Patricia J. Burns, Francis J. Burns, Mary Burns Smith, Michael T.A. Burns, George P. Burns, Kathy Parks Neilio & Joseph A. Lukaitis Jr.; special friend Armand J. Palestini & other nieces & Nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas Sr. & Grace Sprowl & 2 sisters Mildred E. Harding & Audrey C. Parks.
Visitation Friday 9am until the Service at 11am at DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, N.J. Interment Locustwood Cemetery.
