Thomas J. Mc Gowan

Thomas J. Mc Gowan, 62, of Deptford, passed away on January 10, 2013. Tom was born and resided in Philadelphia before moving to Deptford 30 years ago. He was an electrician for the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard and then a pump station operator for the Deptford MUA. Tom served in the US Army during Viet Nam, receiving many commendations, including the Bronze Star, 2 Purple Hearts & the Combat Infantry Badge. Tom was a strong independent spirit who loved to talk and be around people.

Tom is survived by his wife of 42 years Eileen (nee Waldowski); daughter Marita Mc Gowan of Deptford; two sons Brian (Stephanie) Mc Gowan of Brooklawn & Sean (Jackie)Mc Gowan of Westville and his sister Henrietta Mikutis of Maple Shade. He was predeceased by his brother James.

Visitation Monday 7 to 9pm and Tuesday 10am until the service at 11am at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ.
