Thomas F. 'Rich' Gardler

Thomas F. "Rich" Gardler Jr, 82, of Swedesboro, passed away on December 31, 2015. Rich was born in Deptford and has resided in Swedesboro since 1972. Rich graduated from Temple University High School and served five years in the US Navy as a Machinist Mate. He was Co-owner of Cedar's Sheltered Care Boarding Home with his mother in Wenonah. Rich was also the owner & operator of Framar's Rolling Hills Farm in Swedesboro. He was a Construction Official, Zoning Officer & Building Inspector for numerous Townships of South Jersey and was a member of the City of Woodbury Board of Appeals & Building Codes. Rich was an instructor for the UCC Building Codes for Rutgers and Gloucester County College. He served on the Board of Director's for the Gloucester County & State 4-H Association and was a past manager of Gloucester County 4-H Fair. Rich was a Past Leader of the Dusty Boots 4-H Horse Club. He was Past Vice-Commander of American Legion Arthur J. Holeton Post, Exempt Volunteer Fireman, Past Cub Master Pack 231and former Police Officer all for the Borough of Wenonah.

Rich was predeceased by his wife Anna M. Hedrick; daughter Debra Clement & son George Gardler. He is survived by 2 daughters Helen O'Reilly of Swedesboro & Joanne Gaynor of Clayton, DE; 10 grandchildren Natalie, Rebecca, Pamela, Rory, Megan, Thomas, Evette, Tiffany, Joshua & Tyler & 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation 6pm until the memorial service at 7:30pm Friday February 5th at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ.
