Samuel S. Irving

Samuel S. Irving,91, of Mt. Ephraim, passed away on October 9, 2017. Sam was born in South Philadelphia and has resided in Mt. Ephraim for 12 years. He served in the Navy in the Pacific during WWII. A graduate of the Philadelphia Museum School of Industrial Art (UARTS) he became a commercial artist and a fine arts painter after the war. Sam was also a champion bowler and a ballroom dancer, as well as past President of Single Parent Society, SJ Chapter.
Sam is survived by his children Michael (Leslie Carol) Irving of Ardmore, Stacy (Robert Collazo) Irving of Philadelphia, Justin Irving of San Francisco and Alyssa Irving of Philadelphia; sevengrandchildren; two great grandchildren; a niece and a nephew. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa Halprin; sister, Ann Chazak and brother Robert Irving.
A life celebration will be announced in the future. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be directed to the Single Parents Society of South Jersey.
