Robert V. DiEleuterio, 75, of West Deptford, passed away on October 4, 2023.
Robert was born in Trenton and has resided in West Deptford for 43 years. Robert attended Catholic School and his faith was very important to him. He worked for De Laval Refinery in Trenton and then for Valero/Exxon Mobil Refinery in Paulsboro for 30 years. Robert also worked for De Hart Transportation Co. in West Deptford for 5 years. Robert served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968 and then served in the National Guard for 15 years.
Robert had a passion for carpentry and woodworking and built many things over the years including, china cabinets, tables, decks, benches, sheds, and more. He was extremely talented when it came to anything electrical, plumbing, or vehicle related. Robert was known to friends and family as "Bob" or "Bobby D" and was deeply loved for his caring nature and humorous and extroverted personality. Robert was exceptionally skilled at billiards and won many championships as a master pool player. Robert was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather and his children were everything to him. He was very thoughtful and always put others' feelings ahead of his own. Robert never held a grudge and was very forgiving. Forever in our hearts, we will see you again.
Robert is survived by his wife of 50 years Janet (née Shaw) DiEleuterio; daughters Eileen M. Morris of Chadwick Beach, Julie A. Verde of Blackwood, and Antoinette M. DiEleuterio of Marlton; sister Christine (Ernie)Tedeschi of Poway, CA; brother James A. DiEleuterio, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren Angela (Carmen) Giannone, Katie Morris, and John Morris; nephew Ernie (Eva)Tedeschi of Silver Spring, MD.
Visitation Monday October 16th 9:30 to 10:30am at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at Holy Angels Parish, St. Patrick Church 86 Cooper Street Woodbury, NJ. Interment with Military Honor at Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery 240 N Tuckahoe Rd, Williamstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Angels Parish in Woodbury, NJ.
