Rev. Warren D. Light

Rev. Warren D. Light, 78, of Mantua, passed away on October 8, 2012. Warren was born in Jonestown, PA. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School, Lebanon Pa., Rutgers Camden N.J. and Garrett theological seminary on the Northwestern University Campus in Ill. Warren was a United Methodist Pastor of many churches including Kemble Memorial, Colonial Manor, West Chester Pa., Moorestown, Mt. Ephraim, Pitman & N. Wildwood. He specialized as Minister of Education, dedicating his life to the ministry of Children and Youth, and serving as Pastor of Visitation. He served as Chaplin of various fire companies and ambulance squads and he was the State Chaplin of the NJ State Exempt Fireman's Association; upon retirement, he served as Chaplin Emeritus until his death. He also served as Chaplin for Tranquility Hospice. He was an accomplished musician who sang Baritone and played trumpet, trombone, and Upright Bass. He enjoyed singing in the choir. He was an avid Eagles, Phillies and Penn State fan. Warren leaves this life a far better place for his ministry, his care of family and his service.

Warren was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (nee Weatherby) & granddaughter Kara. He is survived by 2 sons Warren Wesley (Caroline), David Allison (Rose); daughter Susan Marie (Richard) Martorano; 6 grandchildren Allison, Brenden, Rianna, Nicholas, Julia & Vanessa; & sister-in-law Jenny Kirchner.

Visitation Friday 2 to 4pm & 5pm until the service at 7pm at Kemble Memorial United Methodist Church 19 S. Broad St. Woodbury, NJ under the direction of DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES Woodbury, NJ.
