Raymond J. Smith

Raymond J. Smith, 70, of West Deptford, on Aug 9th at home. Ray was born in Gloucester City, he graduated from Gloucester City High School and has resided in West Deptford for the past 30 years. Ray was a Corrections Officer for the Gloucester County Sheriffs's Dept. for 25 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Florence Lodge #87 F&AM of Woodbury.

Ray is survived by his daughter Connie Sue (David) Parker of West Deptford; 2 brothers Harry of Mt Laurel & Wayne of Gloucester City; sister Janet Burrows of Gloucester City; 2 grandchildren David Jr. & Alexandria; 3 step daughters Michele (Carl) Niedzwiadek, Diane (Tom) Bowers & Lisa (Joseph) Ronemous; 8 step grandchildren & 3 step great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 2 brothers Richard & Harold.

Visitation Thursday 7pm until service at 8:30pm at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ. Cremation Private. In lieu of flowers donations to Gloucester City Alumni Assoc. 716 Division St. Gloucester City, NJ 08030.
