Phyllis R. Hampton (nee Haines), 91, of Friends Village at Woodstown, passed away on April 21, 2020. Affectionally known as 'Mammaw,' she was born in Chesterville, OH and graduated from Plymouth High School where she met the love of her life, Bob. Sheresided in Colonial Manor for over 50 years before moving to Woodstown. Phyllis was a hairdresser, a West Deptford crossing guard, and a member of the Colonial Manor Ladies Auxiliary Fire Association & West Deptford Senior Citizens Club. She loved life, her family and friends, the casinos and bus trips with the senior citizen club. She always wanted to know when the next party was!
Mammaw was predeceased by her husband Robert; brother Ted & her sister Skip Armour. She is survived by her daughters Cindy (Bill) Geitz of FL, Sandy (Sandy) Hendricks of DE & Bobbi (Tom) Helwig of Mullica Hill; grandchildren Heather (Kevin) Wright, Jason (Sarah) Hendricks, Kristin (Adam) Kenney & Ashley Fahr; great grandchildren Tyler & Joshua, Alex & Brooke and Jaxon, Julliana & Tylor and second Mom & Mammaw to Jonni Sue, Aly & Kaitlyn.
A celebration of life will be held when we can all socialize again. Until then pour yourself a good margarita or a stinger and toast Mammaw!
