Colonel Nicholas M. Masich USAF Ret., 99, of Washington Twp., on October 18, 2011. Colonel Masich served 33 years, retiring in 1967 and was presented the following awards and decoration: Air Force Commendation Medal, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, National Defense Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, & the Air Force Longevity Service Award with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters. He was a member of the Woodbury VFW. He received an MS in Physics from Carnegie Institution & MBA from the University of Chicago. He also was a Professor of Mathematics at Gloucester County College for 1 year.
Nicholas was predeceased by his wife Nancy Worthington in 2001. He is survived by his daughter Shirley Rogers; 2 sisters Mary Masich & Sophia Balmer; 3 grandchildren Thomas, John & Nancy Rogers & great grandson Christopher.
Visitation Monday 9:30am until the service at 11am at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ. Interment with Military Honors Eglington Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers make donations to the American Cancer Society. Memories & condolences shared at daviswagner.com
