May Mahala Redfield, 95, died peacefully at home in Wenonah, NJ on January 12, 2010. Born to Francis & Elizabeth Redfield in Philadelphia, PA, May moved to Wenonah in 1921. Shortly after her graduation from Woodbury High School, May worked for NJ Bell as a switch board operator and retired as an administrative clerk after 37 years in 1973. She was a Life Member of the NJ Telephone Pioneers of America, where she remained active until recent years.
May loved all small animals and put out a variety of foods in her back yard each day so that none went hungry in her neighborhood. Dogs were her favorite, especially her beloved Tippy.
May is survived by several cousins and many dear friends.
