Mary Johnson

Mary Johnson (nee Garry), 60, of Woodbury, passed away on June 30, 2024 with loved ones by her side. Mary was born on September 28, 1963 in Brooklyn, NY and has resided in Woodbury NJ, for the past 35 years with her devoted husband, Marc. Mary served in the US Navy from 1986-1990, and then was an Integration Specialist at Inspira Medical Center for over the past 20 years. Mary loved being a cat mom, experimenting with hair and fashion, all things Christmas and dancing to all kinds of music. One of her favorite roles was being the cool and fun-loving aunt and great aunt - she was always supportive by attending shows and sports games, giving thoughtful gifts and surprises and always being there to listen. Mary’s most important role was being the best friend, confidant, and caring wife to her husband, Marc. They served in the Navy, traveled the world, played games, watched movies and TV, and made each other laugh. They were each other’s everything. Mary will be forever remembered as always being true to herself and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Mary is survived by her husband Marc Johnson; sisters Lynne Murano & Joan Garry, brother James (Debra) Garry, nieces Jillian (Darell) Murano, Melissa (Lawrence) Ahearn, nephew Christopher (Amy) Murano, and her forever best friend, Sheryl (Don) Neubauer, and their children, Don Jr (Viviana) Neubauer and Amanda (Ian) Piliero. She was predeceased by her parents Bernard & Joan Garry, brother Kenneth Garry and her brother-in-law Ronald Murano.

Visitation will be from 2pm to 5 pm on Saturday July 20, 2024 at the Davis & Wagner Funeral & Cremation Services at 171 Delaware Street Woodbury, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans at dav.org. Memories and condolences may be shared at daviswagner.com
