Mary Elizabeth 'Libby' Gillespie

Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Gillespie (nee Harper), 89, died on Oct 15th at The Inn at Freedom Village, W. Brandywine, PA. Born in Norfolk, VA she resided in Woodbury for over 50 years before moving to Freedom Village 9 years ago. Libby taught 4th grade at the West End School in Woodbury from 1958 to 1978. She was an active volunteer throughout her life, an avid bridge player and she was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Woodbury for 60 years.
Libby was predeceased by her husband Edward J. Gillespie. She is survived by 2 daughters Mary Wayne Volk of Chester Springs, PA & Nancy Gillespie Allen of Carmel, Indiana; son Edward H. Gillespie of Charlotte, NC; 5 grand children & 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation Saturday 9:30 am until the service at 10:30am the Presbyterian Church at Woodbury Broad & Centre Sts. Woodbury, NJ 08096. Interment Wenonah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Gloucester County Chapter of the American Red Cross 3 Parke Place Boulevard Sewell, NJ 08080.
