Lorna H. Price

Lorna H. Price (nee Achterberg) of Collingswood, NJ, passed away on May 22, 2014 at the age of 97-1/2.


Lorna was born in the Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, New York and graduated from North Tonawanda High School. She trained as an x-ray technician at Syracuse University Hospital in the 1940s and then worked in Ithaca, where she met and married Dr. John Price. They lived in Adams, NY, for 25 years, then in North Carolina, Florida, and Canandaigua, NY. Lorna moved to Southern New Jersey in 2013 to be near family.


She loved reading and sports, especially baseball and football.


Lorna is survived by two daughters, Deborah Price of Canandaigua, NY, and Denise Hosier (Dave) of West Deptford, NJ, and two granddaughters, Betsy and Molly Hosier. She was predeceased by Dr. John Price, her husband of 55 years, in 2003.
