Lillian M. Quillin (nee Herman), 101, of National Park, passed away on January 14, 2024. Lillian was born in Camden to the late Daniel & Minnie Greenbaum Herman. She was raised in National Park and married her best friend & neighbor, Leon Clifford Quillin. In 1948 she became a Born again Christian and a very active member of the National Park Methodist Church. She later joined St. Paul’s United Methodist. She continued to teach Sunday School until she was 97 years old. She was a Lay Preacher & Co-Lay Leader. She was very involved in the activities of her town, celebrations, parades, etc., Animal Control Officer & Board of Health, forming lifelong friendships in the Borough Hall. Her home was always open to those in need, sometimes for a meal, sometimes housing for years.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband Leon Clifford Quillin; daughters Marybella (James) Oxley & Barbara Jean Browning; sister Marybella Priga and brother Daniel Herman. She is survived by her daughter Dixielee (James) Leonardo; grandchildren Renae (Mark) Gismondi, Gina (Donald) Hicks & James (Heather) Oxley; great grandchildren Rebecca (Andrea), Brianna (Devon), Jake, Dan, Abby, Lauren & James, and great great grandson Oxley.
Visitation 10am Saturday January 20th until the service at 12 noon at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church 74 Church St. West Deptford, NJ under the direction of DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL HOME, Woodbury, NJ. Interment Eglington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Church or National Park Fire Department 523 Hessian Ave. National Park, NJ 08063.
