Stephen Girard directed the City of Philadelphia to use his enormous gift to build a school for poor, orphan or fatherless boys who would live on campus. Leslie and his brother Paul grew up there in the late 1920s and 1930's as two of many 'sons of Stephen Girard'. Stephen Girard's legacy lives on by giving life-changing educational opportunities to underprivileged children since 1848. Memories and condolences shared at daviswagner.com.
