Joseph E. Chapman Jr.

Joseph E. Chapman Jr. “Chappy,” 58, of Oak Valley, passed away on March 14, 2024. Joe was born in Camden and resided in the Oak Valley section of Deptford. He worked for Aramsco in Paulsboro for 37 years. Joe was a member of the South Jersey American Poolplayers Association; he played 1320 matches on at least 154 teams. He advanced to Las Vegas three times with his teams over the years; in 1998 for 8-ball, in 2000 for 8-ball with Breakers finishing 193 and in 2023 with Blackjack21 finishing 17th in the world.

Joe is survived by his wife Joanne Breen Chapman; daughter Rylee Chapman of West Deptford; step-son Robert Pluck Jr. (Jordyn) of Bellmawr; step-daughter Elizabeth Pluck (Giacomino) of Oak Valley; brothers Marc & Ricky Chapman both of Paulsboro; step-grandchildren Elliott & Aspyn Pluck; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins and his beloved dog Ralphie.

Visitation 3pm Saturday March 23rd until the memorial service at 5pm at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Hospital at stjude.org. Memories & condolences shared at daviswagner.com
