John U. Pross, Jr.

John U. Pross Jr., 72, of Deptford, passed away on November 1, 2022. John was born in Philadelphia and has resided in Deptford for 45 years. He worked for Mobil Oil (Valero) Refinery in Paulsboro. He was a member of the Deptford Elks Lodge. He was also a Deptford Little League coach and umpire, and he umpired for Wenonah and West Deptford Little Leagues as well. He was a beloved father, grandfather and uncle. Spending time with his grandchildren was his top priority. He never failed to miss a talent show, dance recital, musical, birthday party or anything that his grandchildren were involved in. One of his most favorite vacation spots was Sea Isle City, NJ. He loved spending summers at the shore with his family. He especially enjoyed the game nights there and was quite the family prankster and storyteller. His epic pranks and jokes will be cherished by our family for many years to come. He also loved visiting and spending time with his nieces and their children in Washington state.
John was predeceased by his wife Sandra (nee Applegate) Pross and his sister Susan Dennis, both in 2009. He is survived by his children Tammie (Joseph) Cugino, John Matthew Pross and Jenny (Jeff) Mulligan and his grandchildren Amanda, Colin & Phoebe.
Visitation 11:30am Saturday November 5th until the service at 12:30pm at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ. Interment Eglington Cemetery. Memories and condolences can be shared at daviswagner.com
