John D. 'Jack' Deal

John D. "Jack" Deal, 78, of Thorofare, passed away on January 30, 2015. John was born in Darby, PA. He grew up in S. Philadelphia and attended South East Catholic High School. John served in the US Marines. He worked in building maintenance for PECO in Philadelphia retiring after more than 30 years of service; he was an avid golfer, a member of the West Deptford Lion's Club and a Phillies Organization Volunteer.

John is survived by his wife of 23 years Shirley Deal; 2 sons John (Kim) & Christopher (Martha) both of Maryland; daughter Theresa Deal of New York, NY; step children Ben (Linda) Hinkle of Woodstown & Deborah (James) Walters of Newton; 4 sisters Dolores Driscoll, Joan Mount, Elizabeth Deal & Kathleen Kader; 8 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son James.

Visitation Wednesday 9:30 to 10:30am at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL HOME 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Patrick Church 64 Cooper St. Woodbury NJ. Interment with Military Honors Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to ALS Association at alsa.org.
