Joan Howard

Joan L. Howard, 81, of Woodbury, passed away on March 28, 2013. Joan was born in McKeesport, PA and has resided in Woodbury for over 50 years. She graduated from the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing and received her BSN in psychology from Eastern College. She worked as an RN at Underwood Memorial Hospital for over 10 years. She was an active member of Central Baptist Church; Women's Club of Woodbury; Women's Auxiliary of Underwood Memorial & Junior Women's Club and a co-founder of Robin's Nest Inc. of Glassboro.

Joan was predeceased by her husband Wayde Howard Sr. & children Wayde "Buzz" Jr. & Sue Howard. She is survived by her children David Gehring, MD of Woodbury, Paul Gehring of Fredericksburg, VA, Peter Gehring of Quakertown, PA, Barbara Cordova of Wilmington, DE & Eric Gehring of Norristown, PA; step children Bettie Ann Yerkes of Pitman & Karla Tighe of West Deptford; sister Mona Finnilia of Las Vegas and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation Monday 9am until the Service at 11am at Central Baptist Church 37 S. Jackson St. Woodbury, N.J. under the direction of DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES Woodbury, N.J.
