Jeannette T. Carter (nee Tomlinson), 84, of Woodbury, NJ, died on Oct 16th at Manor Care of West Deptford. Jeannette served Christ Episcopal Church for 38 years as Altar Guild Directress, receiving commendation from the Bishop of N.J. upon her retirement in 2005. She was born in Philadelphia and has resided in Woodbury since 1951. She was an avid sports fan and actively supported her children & grandchildren by attending all of their sporting events.
Jeannette was predeceased by her husband Freeman in 2002. She is survived by 3 sons Matthew T. of Bridgeport, PA, Duane A. (Jennifer) of Atoka, TN & Mark T. of Woodbury; 2 daughters Phyllis C. (Gary) McClintock of Verga & Jeannette C. (Olin) Mittan of Pottstown, PA; twin sister Gwendoline T. Hacker of Stroudsburg, PA; 6 grandchildren Martha Barrett, Scott & Jeffrey McClintock & Matthew, Elizabeth & Christopher Carter & 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation Monday 7 to 9pm & Tuesday 9:30 to 10:30am at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial 11am Tuesday at the Christ Episcopal Church 62 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ. Interment Eglington Cemetery.
