James T. Sheeky

James T. Sheeky, 75, of Brigantine, passed away on September 26, 2023 with family by his side. Jim was born in Upland, PA. He grew up in Boothwyn, PA and spent his childhood summers at Lake Garrison, NJ. He resided in Deptford for 44 years before moving to Brigantine in 2017. He worked in many departments at Dupont in Deepwater, NJ before completing a four year apprenticeship in instrumentation. He worked at Dupont for 35 years and then as a consultant for many years. Jim served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era and did many years in the reserves. He loved being with his family and joking with his granddaughters. He was an avid golfer, loved scuba diving and sailing.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Dale (nee Elleray) Sheeky; daughters Jane (Shane) Gosdis of Bridgeport, NJ, Stacy (Ed) Pistilli of Morgantown, WV, son David (Julie) Sheeky of Deptford, NJ; brothers Terrence (Beverly) Sheeky Jr. of PA, Michael Sheeky of VT, brother-in-law Charles Lieberman (Bette Rose) of CA, brother-in-law Donnie Levin, CA, his loving grandchildren Brianna & Isabella Sheeky and Paige Pistilli. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Matilda and Terrence Sheeky Sr. sister Frances Lieberman and brother Patrick Sheeky (Lorraine) and brother-in-law Thomas Elleray.

Visitation on Saturday, October 14, 2023, 11:00 a.m. until the service at 12:00 p.m. at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. or any Veteran Organization.
