James T. Norton Sr., 79, of Barnsboro, on Oct. 13th at home. Jim was born in Westville and resided in Brooklawn before moving to Barnsboro in 1965. He was the former co-owner of Ray-Bets Liquor Store in Brooklawn. He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion. Jim was Past President of Rainbow Square Dance Club of Milmay, NJ; Vice President of South Jersey Organic Gardeners Club of Barrington & a member of the Holly Society of America.
Jim was predeceased by his brother Donald and his sister Patricia Regan. He is survived by his wife Margaret McCaffery Norton; son James Jr.; sisters-in-law Peg Norton, Barbara McCaffery & Lori McCaffery; & brothers-in-law Jack (Connie) McCaffery & Larry (Rose) McCaffery.
A Memorial Service will be held 11am Fri. Oct. 23rd at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church 161 Pitman Ave. Pitman, NJ 08071 under the direction of DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, Woodbury, NJ. Entombment private.
