Elizabeth W. Anders

Elizabeth W. Anders, nee McKellar, age 85, of Mickleton, NJ, wife of late David V. Anders, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2009. A resident of Friends Village, Woodstown, she formally lived in Mickleton. A Scottish citizen, she was born in Glasgow, and attended St. Catherine's and St. Leonard's schools in St. Andrews, Scotland prior to graduation from the University of Glasgow with a degree in Physical Therapy. She practiced physical therapy in England and Canada. In response to the polio epidemic and the great need for physical therapists, she immigrated to the United States in 1949 where she worked with children stricken with the disease. She met her husband, David Anders in Texas where they were married in 1950. She continued to practice physical therapy until her retirement.

Beloved wife of the late David Anders, Elizabeth is survived by her 3 daughters, Fiona Price, Jeannette Anders, Jennifer Novzen, 2 son-in-laws, Scott Price and Scott Novzen, six grandchildren, David and his wife Sarah, Sterling, John and his wife Rachel Price, Katherine, Ian, and Ryan Novzen, and one great grandson, Liam Price. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Sarah "Sam" Price.

Private services will be held under the direction of DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES Woodbury, NJ. Interment Eglington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Friends Village Benevolence Fund 1 Friends Drive Woodstown, NJ 08098.
