Dorothy M. Light

Dorothy M. Light (nee Weatherby), 80, of Mantua, on December 1, 2011. Dorothy was born in Millville, she resided in Pitman & Woodbury before moving to Mantua in 2000. She first worked as a secretary in the Library Education Department at Glassboro State College, then as the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of School for Moorestown School District and she retired as Secretary in the Superintendent's Office of the Downingtown School District. For over fifty years she was a partner in her husband's ministry throughout South Jersey, Pennsylvania and Illinois. She also taught Sunday School and provided both vocal and instrumental music for worship for many years. She was a member of the Kemble Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved her Phillies.

Dorothy was predeceased by her granddaughter Kara; sister Volena Sheppard & brother Rev. Allison P. Weatherby. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Rev. Warren Light; 2 sons Rev. Warren Wesley (Caroline) Light Esq. of Eugene, OR & David Allison (Rose) Light of Tulare, CA; daughter Susan Marie (Richard) Martorano of Manahawkin, NJ & 6 grandchildren Allison, Brenden, Rianna, Nicholas, Julia & Vanessa.

Visitation Monday 5:30 pm until the Funeral Service at 7:30 pm at the Kemble Memorial United Methodist Church 19 S. Broad St. Woodbury, NJ under the direction of DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES Woodbury, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kemble Memorial United Methodist Church Permanent Memorial Fund.
