Doris May Boody

Doris Boody (nee Elliott), 88, of Woodbury passed suddenly on Saturday November 9, 2013. Doris was a lifelong resident of Woodbury and an active member of her community. As a graduate of Woodbury High School she remained friendly with many of her childhood schoolmates. As a young married couple Doris and her husband Kenneth lived in Magnolia where they raised 3 sons and 1 daughter. Shortly after her husband's passing in 1976 Doris returned to Woodbury where she lived out the rest of her years. She worked for Underwood Memorial Hospital as an Admissions Supervisor and retired from Joule` Inc. as an Administrative Secretary in the early 90's. She kept busy in retirement for nearly 30 years by volunteering her time for the Underwood Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Doris was also an active member of the Kemble Memorial UMC Women's Circle, often hosting gatherings at her home.

Doris is predeceased by her beloved husband Kenneth Boody. She is the loving mother of Ken Boody (Kathy), Paul Boody (Marsha), Larry Boody and Ednalynn Cornwall (Gill). Mrs. Boody is the proud grandmother of Ken Boody (Darlene), Kathleen Boody, David Boody (Kelly), Sean Boody, Paul Boody, Kendralyn Cornwall, Anneliese Eddis (Tim) and Gill Cornwall (Katie). She will also be sadly missed by her 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation Thursday 9:30am until the service at 11:30am at the Kemble Memorial United Methodist Church 19 S. Broad Street Woodbury, NJ under the direction of DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES Woodbury, NJ. Interment Richwood Cemetery.
