Charles A. Bengel Jr

November 10, 1924 — October 30, 2010

Charles A. Bengel Jr. was born in Woodbury on Nov. 10, 1924 and moved to Colonial Manor, West Deptford in 1950. Charles was a carpenter at Texaco for 35 years, retiring in 1985. He was a WWII Army Veteran surviving the Battle of the Bulge, and Past Commander the Woodbury VFW Post 2117, then life member of National Park VFW Post 6884 & Colonial Manor American Legion Post 100. Charles was member of Colonial Manor Fire Co. since 1950.

Charles was the son of the late Charles Sr. & Evia Hess Bengel, also, predeceased by his wife Jean A. Frank Bengel; baby daughter Kristen & brother Frederick. He is survived by his son Frederick of Oregon; daughter Karen Hunsberger of West Deptford; brother Norman of Oregon; grandchildren Derek, Heather, Erick & Alex.

Visitation Wednesday 9:30am until the service at 11am at the DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ. Interment with Military Honors at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers please send donations to Colonial Manor Fire Co.
