Betty Ruth Duffield (nee Dehner) November 18, 1927 October 17, 2020
'Death the last sleep No, it is the final awakening'. - Sir Walter Scott.
Betty peacefully experienced her 'final awakening' and went home to be with the Lord early Saturday morning, October 17, 2020. She was born and raised in Woodbury, N.J. and graduated from Woodbury High School. In 1946 she married Arthur E. Duffield II and they lived on a farm in Mullica Hill, N.J. where she raised her four children. She moved to West Deptford, N.J. in the 1970s. Bettys life was all about family and her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She spoke often about how she loved 'her babies' which included all children. She also loved to reminisce about living on the farm and the countless memories that were made there. She enjoyed playing cards, watching western movies and TV shows. One of her favorite things was cooking, especially large meals when her friends and family were visiting.
Betty is survived by her children Dorothy M. McQuade (Lynn) of Woodbury, A. Lee Duffield (Vicki deceased) and (Kathleen) of Mays Landing, Robert P. Duffield (Kathy) of West Deptford, and Jami L. Goodrich (William) of Woodbury; sisters Doris Witzke of Baltimore, MD & Florence Carver of Woodbury; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
