Antoinette Mucci

April 30, 1932 — April 18, 2020

Antoinette Mucci, almost age 88, of West Deptford, NJ, left this life on a beautiful, sunny, Saturday on April 18th, 2020.
Antoinette started life in Philadelphia, the first child born to Angelo and Emma Caratura on April 30th,1932. She loved all her sisters and brother; she was one of six children. The family moved to New Jersey and she attended Paulsboro High School where she sang solo in the choir and was in several plays. It was there she met her husband Joseph and they have been inseparable for 68 years.

Antoinette and Joseph raised two children, Joe (wife Deborah, grandchildren Natalie & Michael), Carlo (wife Yvonne and granddaughter Alicia). She is survived by her sisters Juanita Robertson, Lola Weigel & Celeste Jackson. She was predeceased by her sister Lorraine Crawford and her brother Angelo Caratura. Her happy place was the garden where something new was always in bloom. Granddaughter Alicia called it her very own 'Secret Garden'. Birds and small animals found sanctuary there. A magical place.
When not working in the garden, Antoinette enjoyed riding her bicycle and cooking. She loved trying new recipes and was happiest when the table was full. She would rather be in her own kitchen cooking than waited on in the fanciest of restaurants. You were always welcome at her table for a cup of tea and something good to eat!

Antoinette loved animals, especially dogs and kitty cats. Their antics made her laugh. She had many girlfriends, which she lunched with and wrote letters back and forth over the years. In her lifetime she seldom traveled far from South Jersey but was always on top of trends and nuances from around the globe.

She worked so hard taking care of family and was only happy when her family was happy. She will be greatly missed.
