Alfred J. Heery, 92, of Thorofare, NJ on March 26th. Al was born in Liverpool, England and came to Philadelphia, PA in 1948, and has resided in Thorofare for the past 10 years. Al worked as a steel fabricator for Cresswell Iron Works in Philadelphia, PA; he was a Professional Soccer Referee for 30 years; Head of the Eastern PA Referee Assoc. , the United States Soccer Football Association and the National Intercollegiate Soccer Officials' Association.
Al served in the British Army 7th Armoured Division, 6th Royal Tank Regiment, and member of the Desert Rats; and received the King's Commendation Medal for brave service.
Alfred was predeceased by his wife Edna. He is survived by his daughter Diane Heery; 2 sons Clayton and grandchildren Karen & Evan.
