Dorothy Parker Spies, 88, of Woodbury, passed away at home on July 28, 2014 surrounded by her family and friends. Dorothy was born in Edenton, NC and has resided in Woodbury since 1955. She worked as a telephone operator for Carolina Telephone & Telegraph for 10 years prior to dedicating her life to wife, mother, homemaker and caregiver to those in need. She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 62 years Henry R. "Bob" Spies; daughter Susan (Charles) Perron of Mantua; the love of her life, granddaughter Kaylee; 2 sisters Wanda White & Peggy Hollowell; numerous nieces & nephews and many close friends, especially Barbara Crowe, Barbara Feduska, Shirley Rambo and Judy Mauro. Those who love Dorothy will always remember her as a strong and loving woman filled with grace. She always took care of others.

Visitation Saturday 10am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at the Holy Angels Parish, St. Patrick Church 64 Cooper St. Woodbury, NJ under the direction of DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES Woodbury, NJ. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Abilities Solutions 1208 Delsea Dr. Westville, NJ 08093.
