Anthony J. Sankus

Anthony J. Sankus, 90, of Woodbury Heights, passed away on November 19, 2020. He was born in Pringle, PA and has resided in Woodbury Heights since 1973. Tony served in the US Marines. He was a teacher and guidance counselor at Gateway Regional High School for 28 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 133 and the Mantua VFW Post 7679. He was an avid golfer and the golf coach at Gateway Regional High School as well as a lifelong Eagles fan.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 66 years Fay (nee Bryant); daughter Jill (Doug) Magill of West Deptford; sister Patricia Shaw; brother John (Marie) Sankus and granddaughters Madeline & Julia Magill. He was predeceased by his son John in 1999 and sister Marie Golightley.
Visitation 11am to 1pm Monday at DAVIS & WAGNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES 171 Delaware St. Woodbury, NJ. Services Private.
